For trinkets

Hello People.. 🙂

This is the second use of the biscuit tray we used in the previous CIY ie Plaster tablet. With this we will make a nice plaster bowl to keep trinkets, small chains, bracelets, ear-rings etc. You can also keep it on your table and use for general stuff like paper clips, board-pins etc etc. It is quite easy and fun to make…like all my CIYs 😛

What do we need?

A tray (to be used as mould)

Plaster of paris

Acrylic colours: metallic golden and copper will do. 🙂

Step 1: Make plaster paste of thin consistency and coat the outer surface of the tray. 2013-10-28 23.36.09

Step 2: Wait for the first layer to set. Coat the tray with few more layers. 2013-10-28 23.48.11

Step 3: After it sets completely, start painting the outer surface in metallic copper (or any other colour) 2013-10-29 00.01.42

Coat the inner surface also. I have used pearl green acrylic colour. You can paint it any way you like. I have used a white glass liner to highlight the outer surface. IMG-20131029-WA0005 IMG-20131029-WA0006 IMG-20131029-WA0007The final look. The metallic copper given a vintage look to it. And the white highlights block the monotony. Fill it with chocolates and gift your loved ones. Try it and give your opinion.

Follow the blog for more CIYs and keep sharing it with your friends.
